WWE : Sheamus beats Roman Reigns to retain world title
December 29, 2015, 9:21 am

Sheamus is still WWE World Heavyweight Champion - and Roman Reigns is not happy about it.

Reigns was on the cusp of nabbing Sheamus` strap during Sunday`s Tables, Ladders and Chairs main event in Boston but as he ascended the ladder and clambered towards the belt, he was attacked by the Irishman`s League of Nations cronies, Rusev and Alberto Del Rio.
The Juggernaut managed to fight off Sheamus` buddies but as he made his way back up the ladder he was Brogue Kicked to the mat by the champion and could only watch in horror as the Dubliner unhooked the title to extend his fourth world-championship reign.

Reigns` anger soon got the better of him, with the former Shield Superstar spearing Sheamus, Rusev and Del Rio before clobbering them with steel chairs - and he wasn`t finished there.
The Big Dog then laid Triple H to waste after WWE`s chief operating officer strode to the ring, Reigns clocking the game with a Superman punch and a steel chair, sending him through the announce table, and then, to rubberstamp the assault, flattening his boss with a spear.

Reigns` title tilt ended in failure, then, but his close friend Dean Ambrose did pinch gold on Sunday evening, the Lunatic Fringe countering Kevin Owens` Pop-Up Powerbomb with a sunset flip to claim his maiden Intercontinental Championship.
Elsewhere, Del Rio retained his United States Championship after cracking Jack Swagger with a stomp off the ropes during the pair`s Chairs Match, while the New Day kept hold of the Tag Team Titles following a Ladder Match triumph over The Lucha Dragons and The New Day.
Plus, The Wyatt Family conquered ECW originals The Dudley Boyz, Tommy Dreamer and Rhyno in an elimination Tables Match inside the TD Garden.

Bray Wyatt`s brood lost Erick Rowan early when the red-bearded warrior was smashed through the pine courtesy of a 3D but recovered quickly and secured victory after Braun Strowman chokeslammed Bubba Ray Dudley through the wood.
Divas Champion Charlotte remains gilded after beating Paige, while Rusev made Ryback pass out after applying the Accolade during the duo`s powerhouse tussle.
